work shift
Our
volunteer workers are first to shop during the
exclusive presale event before the sale opens to the
public and receive
first choice of all our quality items! All
Volunteer Workers are also invited to a special
HALF-PRICE PRESALE!
You DO
NOT have to be a seller in order to work a volunteer
shift and shop the presales. We have several
different four hour shifts available. If you are
unable to stand for long periods of time, let us
know and we'll assign you to a "sitting"
volunteer job. We need "a few good
men" to help on our set-up and tear-down shifts,
so feel free to send your husband in to work so you
can shop early.
We are unable
to provide childcare during your volunteer shift.
Please do not bring your children with you as
we will have lots of things for you to do and you will
not be able to supervise them properly. Many
of our volunteer workers team up to work different
shifts and take turns providing childcare for each
other.
If you sign
up to work a shift and cannot make it, PLEASE find a
replacement for yourself because we need ALL shifts to
be filled. If you cannot find a
replacement, please take the time to let us know so we
can try to fill your shift for you.
Only one
shopper per pass may attend the presale.
If your friend, sister, neighbor, or random
stranger you meet at the grocery wants to shop the
presale along with you, encourage them to sign up to
work a volunteer shift too.
Shift Info:
Single shift - Work ONE (four hours)
shift and shop the single
shift workers presale,
Double shift - Work TWO (eight
hours) shifts and shop EVEN EARLIER at the double
shift workers presale
All workers may shop the HALF-PRICE
PRESALE

There are several “trade shifts”
available. These count as a four
hour work shift and include:
- bringing in meals for the other
volunteer workers – meals need to serve 15-20 people and include drinks, paper plates, utensils,
etc.
- delivering flyers around town the
week before the sale – you will need to make
several hundred copies of our flyer and deliver
them to specific places from a list we provide
- getting media coverage for the
sale - if you have connections that could get us
on TV or in the newspaper, email
us with the details
Double shift workers may only work
one “trade shift”.
Once again, we're
partnering with My Consignment Manager to use their
barcode tagging & sale management system.
My Consignment Manager is also
handling our volunteer registration for this sale. First
you will create and activate an account with My
Consignment Manager, then select the shifts you’d
like to work. If you already have an account
with My Consignment
Manager, then skip that part and
just sign up to work at the current sale (step 2).
1. Register –
each volunteer worker must first register with My
Consignment Manager to use the system
- Fill in all information following the
formats required
- You will need to accept the terms and
conditions
- Remember that the User ID and password
are case sensitive
- Be sure to write down your User ID and
password
- Click on the "create
an account" button – Very Important or
all of your data will be lost
- Continue to follow
the prompts to then register for the Kentucky Kids
Consignment Sale.
- Click on
"register" when complete. Now you
have created an account and are registered for one
sale.
2. Log in to My
Consignment Manager
- Log in to My Consignment Manager using
the User ID and Password you used when you registered
- Remember that the User ID and Password
are both case sensitive
- Sign up to work by clicking "register me
as a worker only" if you are a returning
worker.
3. Seller Home Page
Welcome! This home page will display
after you log in. Although it says, "seller
home page" the only option open to you will be to
choose your volunteer work shift
4. Select a
Volunteer Work Shift
- To
register to volunteer, select the shift that you
would like (click on the white button on the left)
and click on “Add me to selected shift”.
- Only
open shifts will be visible to you. The red
high priority shifts absolutely must be filled or
we can't run the sale. Once those are
filled, additional days and times may become
available.
- The
shift that you choose will be in bold.
However, on some browsers, the bold is hard to
see. It may appear that nothing has changed
but scroll back down to your selected shift and
see if your ID is written in that shift. Others
will see it as “already selected”. Or sort by
“Volunteer Name” and your name will sort
itself more visible to you.
- The red high priority shifts absolutely
must be filled or we can't run the sale. Once
those are filled, additional days and times may become
available.
